A combination of litigation and political action helped force Trump to back down in Minnesota. This result adds to already extensive evidence that exploiting synergy between the two can be effective strategy for curbing abuses of government power. All of my group chats are responding to Homan’s announcement by asking everyone to double down because:

1. ICE is still out there and abducting people today. We can’t trust the occupation is over until we actually see it.

2. People are going to be in an economic crisis for a very long time.

Entire point of ICE is to scour the streets to disappear people, and deny people their civil rights or due process, in hopes that it terrifies Democrats & minorities into submission of an Trump authoritarian state.

But, The People were not terrified, The People won this battle for US.

Still around 100 community reports of ICE activity around the Twin Cities today, the most of any state by far.

In case you’re wondering why so many of us aren’t quite taking Homan’s presser today at face value.
