Remember how, after getting access to Regeneron's COVID treatment to stave off COVID death in 2020, Trump generously got Chis CHristie, whom he almost killed by infecting him during debate training, the same exclusive access?

When I took my son to get his flu and covid vaccines, as the pharmacist administered the shots, she said she's never had the covid vaccine and has had covid 6x.
She also sounded like she was going to cough up a lung.
It blows my mind when ppl who work in healthcare are antivax.

but in case you think this is all much ado about nothing, consider this:
for kids and adults alike, the risk of long-term health issues increases with every COVID infection.

and the list of potential health issues is long—because COVID is a vascular disease that can attack every organ of the body, including the heart and brain.
vaccinations, while important, are not enough—they don’t prevent infection, and even a ‘mild’ case of COVID can lead to severe outcomes.

N95s can prevent more than just Covid!
They stop colds, flus and other airborne illness.
They’re also highly effective against pollen, pollution, wildfire smoke and environmental triggers.
Many maskers haven’t been sick in years.
Respirators are pretty amazing.

It is important to understand that the reckoning on Covid is not about feels, it’s not about fears, and it’s not about fuzzy ideas of social justice.
It is real people being forced out of their jobs because their workplaces refuse to acknowledge the scientifically proved risks of Covid.

if it won’t do what’s right to keep its own people safe at work, how can you trust it to tell you how to protect yourself at yours, and to demand better of your government?
i loved my job. and i still i believe in the public broadcaster.
but you can’t compromise with COVID.
or the truth.

in march of this year, CBC radio’s signature science show, quirks & quarks, featured an interview about the silent organ damage COVID may be wreaking on our bodies.
no new information was presented—it was simply timed to coincide with the pandemic’s 5th anniversary.

but COVID is incompatible with business as usual. because COVID is a workplace safety issue—one that demands a complete occupational reset to adequately deal with it.
like most corporations, though, CBC is unprepared to lead that vital transformation of the status quo.
it can only follow.
