Its decision to leave the Tory appointees in post at the BBC is one of so many Labour have made that I can't begin to understand. Any guesses?

The Massachusetts District Court has 11 Democratic appointees among its active judges and two vacancies.

After the resignation of Wolf, who was appointed by Reagan, it has 4 each of Democratic and Republican appointees among its senior judges. (Senior judges generally oversee a reduced caseload.)

🚨BREAKING: New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) Friday asked a federal judge to dismiss the felony charges against her, arguing that President Donald Trump and his political appointees at the Department of Justice (DOJ) are selectively and vindictively prosecuting her.

The same Democratic Party that just surrendered in the shutdown fight:

- gave up pandemic relief without a fight
- failed to ban gerrymandering
- gave up on Build Back Better
- voted to confirm Trump’s appointees.

Rollover.
Wither.
Die.

Like Fox News line: Democrats win, they lose.

Defend the BBC with everything you have.

We know how it’s been infiltrated by Tory political appointees but it’s OURS. It’s the only independent media we have left. That’s why they want to destroy it.

EXCLUSIVE: As the 2026 midterms near, the battle over GOP gerrymandering is moving from state legislatures to federal courts. Notably, 48% of judges overseeing these redistricting cases, which could shape control of the House, happen to be Trump appointees.

Good opportunity to get rid of Johnson appointees though.

Almost like you should have held him responsible for the conspiracy to prevent the certification of his duly elected successor and install himself as dictator, or at least stopped voting for his appointees.
This is what happens when Congress allows the President to appoint his criminal defense lawyers to run the Justice Department.

Everyone knows that the BBC, since its stuffing at its highest level with Tory appointees, is rightwing.

Yet UK media, especially the Murdoch press, has had a long-running campaign to gaslight us that the BBC is leftwing.

I wonder why that might be!

Danielle Allen of Harvard has suggested 18 year term limits on SCOTUS justices instead of increasing the number of justices. I was skeptical until she explained that each new president would get to appoint two new justices.

I don't consider any of the Trump/McConnell appointees legitimate.

Note that @amyklobuchar.com has been voting for lots of Trump appointees in her role on the judiciary committee.

I have no idea why and as a constituent I’d like an answer.

So who is going to primary Ossoff?

We need to remove all political appointees at the top of BBC.

Forever.

That is the first step in getting the BBC functioning properly again.

It is essential to our democracy that we have a properly functioning BBC.

The powerful and the fascistic hate the BBC because they want to control “truth”.
Murdoch has had his own agenda of destroying the BBC. A right wing DG and Chairman set the tone. The Chairman has said they need to platform Reform. Wrong.

Being impartial starts at the top. No political bias leaders should be appointed.
