It feels like a bunch of this specific, comics industry misconduct has ended up memory-holed since sites like ComicsAlliance got shuttered

I think mine is still some dumb stuff I did for ComicsAlliance, or some rejected gag boards from something

Well it was originally made for/posted on the now-defunct comicsalliance dot com. But Benito is now putting together a big book of his holiday writings.

Getting Kenny to do that strip for ComicsAlliance – in fact, all the Batman '89 coverage that @andykhouri.bsky.social greenlit – remains one of the proudest moments of my career.

This close to buying the IP of ComicsAlliance and bringing it back just so that I can write a mean review of this comic (which will have zero impact on sales, but it's the principle of the thing).

I love seeing the shock at this skeet from folks who are apparently new around here; meanwhile I've been following since ComicsAlliance was still a thing and am genuinely impressed to see Gunn's movie meet your standards.

Interesting how I don't remember him making a peep about ComicsAlliance shutting down

I remember 15+(!!!) years ago following the weekly Batman movie write-ups at ComicsAlliance (RIP) by yourself and @theisb.bsky.social and how they built up to celebrating B&R for what it does in its own terms. Time has only vindicated this, great foresight.

This bit also still makes me laugh.

Well, I was most familiar with you back during the days of the dearly departed ComicsAlliance site. Sadly, I can't claim to be totally current with your credentials and self-proclaimed honorifics.

Now you know my secret, cap, I am old enough to have done work for ComicsAlliance

I once did a gig for ComicsAlliance where someone told me I couldn’t draw a cat, that was so long ago. It absolutely made me aware that most people are going to be dipshits about your art no matter what you do, so the thing to do is continue. Because if you stop, they win. They don’t deserve to.
Fellow artists: curious how you stay inspired, especially in light of the oppressive presence of AI and general turmoil in the world.

Everything is making me so tired. My instinct to avoid and withdraw is quite high these days.
