#Foundries
as far as i know japanese copyright law is actually pretty similar on this front and there are quite a few nearly identical fonts from different foundries

Things that are really really REALLY important if you represent foundries who recycle loads of waste sand but still have loads that has to go to landfill - no messing around with landfill tax rates confirmed in the budget

French lawmakers have voted to nationalise the struggling local operations of steelmaker ArcelorMittal, in a symbolic motion opposed by the government which reflects growing concern for the sector in Europe. The group’s foundries have been badly hit by the tariff rows between the US and Europe

With a climate somewhere between Alaska & WA State, Hokkaido has long lacked industries besides fisheries & ag.

The problem with chip foundries is that almost every worker will come from elsewhere.

But they'll spend money at local businesses.

Lots of tradeoffs.

The country once led the world in semiconductors and electronics, but over the years it fell behind Taiwan, South Korea and China.

i could use the blueprint maker to quickly place 9+ foundries where i want them in a basic shell w/ the logistics already hooked up and set up a factory in minutes, but why do that when i can do it this way at a 5th of the efficiency per floor & instead spend months setting up an iron ingot factory
mighta gone a little hard on the pink but idgaf

The other pillar box design to get an upgrade in the 1990s was the Type A, but this was mainly cosmetic. Both Machan and Hillsyde foundries made them; Machans have no gap between the collection plate and aperture, while Hillsydes have a large gap #postboxsaturday

Did I bite off more than I can chew with this new factory build in #Satisfactory? Maybe, but so far I'm sticking to my principles: Make it walkable, leave plenty of room, and put the spaghetti in a logistics floor (except for at the smelters). It should look great when complete... I hope.

I just retired after 40+ years working in semiconductors in the US.

INTEL, AMD, Global Foundries and TSMC all have fabs in the US.

Bessent is a fucking moron.

So much culture that older generations love happened because welfare once allowed unemployed people to essentially run startups—bands, studios, foundries, all of it. Now all but impossible!

The holobook "Fleets, Frauds, and Foundries" by Sabé Antilles does a good job of showing that "Admiral" Daala and the Maw Installation grossly inflated their importance during the mid-to-late Civil War period.
This isn't to say it's all useless: The new scholarship does present a more complete history of the Death Star's design and construction that excludes figures which even the old sources readily present as frauds.

LOL that's not what you say to an ADHD person without a blog Andy. Now I'm gonna end up deep dive researching ALL THE GOOD FOUNDRIES whilst designing a blog and fighting an existential crisis about what I will write about on it and fending off procrastination and perfectionism every other breath.

Without a Hades to fuel it, the power grid fails, the foundries freeze over, the Underworld plunges into cold, dark winter.

At the last step, Stede feels the ice under his feet, feels the shift of the world still out of balance.

Knows that this isn't the right way.

It's typical late 1800s early 1900s Swedish design. They're specifically made for woodfire stoves. Similar models were cast by most large foundries up until at least the late 20s, and a smaller number were probably made until the late 40s, whe electrics stoves finally took over.
