Goodly 'It-happened-again' morning.
Do you think Eze should give his match ball to Phil Foden?
The passes for each of his goals really put them on a plate for him...

The squad are treating yesterday as a loss and that speaks to the mindset of the current group and what they aim to achieve this season.

The break comes at a timely manner for us because the current squad need a breather and in the words of Gunnerblog the cavalry are coming.

Amy Lawrence chucking elbows at Gunnerblog and the lads as she races to shoehorn a personal record seventeen George Graham references in a single match recap
It had to be one-nil to the Arsenal with George Graham in the building.

Going to Madrid? Please wear red or have a red scarf and turn our little plot in the sky red, in a sea of white. And the club asks you to get there early with your photo ID. #RealMadrid @ArsenalMatchday @now_arsenaI @gunnerblog @REDactionAFC @goonerak.bsky.social

Gunnerblog already reported it was done. They were waiting on Sociedad because of financial accounting. I am not worried.

Arseblog & Gunnerblog should have organized a live watchalong of this match together with Arteta. I would pay many, many pounds to see/hear his reaction.

I’m feeling a bit uneasy after reading that Gunnerblog x David Ornstein briefing. The tone did feel measured, almost as if preparing fans for a quieter end to the window. And I know they are not in the business of selling hope.

Welcome to the Additional Arsecast, an Arsenal Podcast, myself and James @Gunnerblog. In this passage we look back to the exciting weekend for Arsenal lovers. Signing and presentations of Eberechi Ezen was very impressive on Mikel Arteta. So first, first about the arrival of the former crystal palace and how they felt (answer: very good and hahaja, who knows who knows). Then we will discuss Jurrien Timber and two important goals, Viktor Gyokers, the maximum 15-year-old Dowman, and the influence of his chair and was the first great game of the season.

Hi, I've been reading your blogs for years from India. Would you ever reconsider supporting Arsenal again? It's a sad to see you go and I miss the halcyon days of reading 8 blogs everyday - arseblog, 7 am kickoff, gunnerblog, goonerholic, man from east lower, a cultured left foot were my favourites.

@gunnerblog When everyone bangs on about set piece goals (and ignores the obvious reasons why they happen), why does noone ever mention penalties? We hardly ever get penalties and yet the teams who score from penalties never get blamed for just scoring penalties. #arsecastextra

Yeah agreed. He does seem pretty low risk with a potential upside. Tbh it's the type of deal Arsenal should do more of. Remember Gunnerblog making that point. Need to take a few more gambles on attacking players.

Today's performance & result was in the post from last weekend. Gunnerblog is bang on, the 2 late Merino goals were a positive adrenaline boost that masked the mediocrity of the preceding 80 mins.

Brentford battered Leicester last night, & West Ham are better than Leicester. Not alot, but enough.

Caught in the trap-game. Won by xG 1.37-1.03, but we were guilty in the run-up of looking past WHU. With such a depleted forward-line we had no margin for error. Our error was to not insulate the players from our febrile complacency (“Win the UCL!”). But… we go again. @gunnerblog @legrove #COYG

With most titles, yes. I agree. But journalists like Ornstein and Mokbel are extremely well informed when it comes to the Arsenal. Same now with Gunnerblog. They don’t put out shit. If they are reporting it, it will have been well sourced/briefed.

Hopefully as Gunnerblog reported it is a sign Per is getting the investment for the Academy.

You are pushing him out the door - or adding to the gravity of that pull with takes like “there is a certain ring to Saliba and Madrid” coming from “Gunnerblog.” Even if true, much prefer the ignore and only talk about how cherished he is at Arsenal / team is built around him, etc.
April 16, 2025 at 12:15 PM
Yeah - it could be, I wasn't sure. It would sound like a demotion for him. Gunnerblog (I think) mentioned there might be room for a Technical Director. That could just be a promotion for Ayto.

For a second, I thought why would you be interested in Major League Soccer league today, and then I realized you are Gunnerblog and all you (and I) care about gunners! COYG
