#ImageMovers
Genuinely one of my favorite movies of all time. I’d really love to see it on a theater screen one day.

Fun fact, there was a cancelled mocap remake of this movie that would’ve been directed by Robert Zemeckis under ImageMovers before they went under. Honestly curious what it would’ve looked like.

This is the film that killed ImageMovers Digital.
last week we watched one of disney's biggest bombs 😭

Oh wait…Pooh made more money than the crappy motion capture film that shut down ImageMovers Digital.

I rewatched that uncanny valley imagemovers mo-cap Beowulf movie and was surprised how much I liked the script treatment on a watch through. It was respectful to its source material but had a solid three act structure. I wonder who adapted thi- NEIL GAIMAN?? FUCK

My favourite part was the disney movie talking about how uncanny and ugly imagemovers productions movies were which is REALLY funny considering imagemovers is a studio disney bought and then closed after releasing like two movies

Because people complained that the people they got to fill the dwarfs' role in the story looked nothing like the dwarfs in the original classic.

So, yeah, blame the purists for this remake instead now giving us something ImageMovers Digital would've puked up were that studio still around.

It also was the reason that Robert Zemeckis' film company ImageMovers closed so no more of the motion capture animation from The Polar Express, Monster House, Beowulf and Jim Carrey's Christmas Carol.

ceux qui produisent directement (Jimbo, Imagemovers etc).

Funny enough, in the ImageMovers adaptation his housemaid also thought he went mad. That one's my fave since it really leans into the supernatural horror (plus the scene of Scrooge having to look a grieving future Bob dead in the eye)

Don't think I've seen this beyond the 2nd half but it seems good

This is your reminder that the same company that did the motion capture and animation on this movie, ImageMovers, also did Mars Needs Moms
What a beautiful movie

He made the Imagemovers logo?

A few of the dead eyed motion capture creations from ImageMovers Digital (RIP)

this should literally be the industry standard across the board, regardless of if they're being submitted for awards or not. they should have a big ass disclaimer in the credits like how ratatouille did to specify all of its animation was hand-done frame by frame in the wake of imagemovers' films

MOVIE REVIEW Disney’s A Christmas Carol (2009) By ROBERT LEVIN ImageMovers Digital If there’s one definitive conclusion to be drawn from “Disney’s A Christmas Carol,” it’s this: Motion-capture animation, as practiced by Robert Zemeckis, doesn’t work. This is the third...

HERE (2024)

The comic and graphic novel this is based are favorites of mine and I think this could have been adapted well. unfortunately this is an ImageMovers film and they decided to base almost all of the film on de-aged Tom Hanks instead of keeping it 100% non linear. It sucks

My February film is Mars Needs Moms. It was produced by ImageMovers, who also did Polar Express and A Christmas Carol in a similar motion capture style. It was a bomb.

To those who have only just learned of the cancelled Yellow Submarine remake: you should've seen what else was in the pipeline at ImageMovers Digital before MNM tanked. Bobby Z was going to do a goddamn Roger Rabbit sequel in mocap. Hoskins was skeptical about the idea of playing a CG Eddie Valiant!

Sure that's a thing that happens. A guy at ImageMovers Digital got arrested for stripping on a plane when I was working there. He said it was because of an edible though? Nobody believed him
