#RNLI’s
The RNLI's history of saving poor souls in danger at sea. All these folk have is danger of loosing the only unwashed brain call they have between them. This is reprehensible and they should be charged for disruption to essential services. They also forget st George was half Palestinian half Turkish

What are the stories of the people who were protesting? What had motivated them to come out? Were any of them former lifeboatmen and did they value the RNLI’s lifesaving work in other respects, or were they protesting from a position of not having a personal connection to the RNLI?

Flag-shaggers and knuckle-draggers ahoy!

'Patriots' are at RNLI's HQ today to protest at them for saving lives.

Today, I made a donation to a charity that makes me proud to be British.

At a time where workers at the RNLI's Inshore Lifeboat Centre need union recognition more than ever, their employer is denying them the fundamental right to be represented by an independent union, their basic rights to negotiation and bargaining.

@unitetheunion.bsky.social will not stand for it!

I read constantly and compulsively... all sorts... currently reading Stuart Maconie's 'The Nanny State Made Me,' along with Elton John's 'Me' and a book about the RNLI's 'animal rescues.' Oh and read all of the Slow Horses books....

Run, run Rudolph! Time running out to support RNLI Reindeer Run Challenge
There’s just one week left to support the RNLI’s Reindeer Run Challenge. The maritime lifesaving organisation is challenging islanders to run, walk, or jog 24 miles between December 1st and 24th.  The 24 miles symbolise one mile for every hour the RNLI crews are on call, 24/7 – even on Christmas Day. The event is a crucial fundraiser to provide the necessary training, equipment, and lifesaving crew kit.

Although it operates with remarkable speed and effectiveness, our onsite heritage digitiation isn't this rapid. Here we are working on digitising Precis Book X at the RNLI's Heritage Centre in Poole, and oh, how we wish the process could always be this swift!

"I’m proud Poole is home to the RNLI’s headquarters.
The #RNLI saves lives 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - responding to need, not where you’re from or what’s in your bank account. It’s vital #BCP Council keeps funding our local lifeguards - cuts could put lives at risk."
