Tribes 4000 years ago are named after modern relics (example: the Beaker culture of West Europe). We forgot their real names.

This group is just referred to as a Huaca Prieta culture; a very ancient and continuously occupied site on the northern Peru coast.

With the west so dry and the east and Europe kicking their asses kicked by weather, maybe the earth is tilting? 😉🤣😕😬

I'm curious who the progressive opposition in your view? "The Democrats?" Because Bennet explicitly endorsed destroying every mosque *in europe,* Gantz is wanted by the ICC for the crime of "extermination," Labor is led by a war criminal general, and the other leaders voted to annex the west bank.

Makes sense

“Darwin continues tradition of normal science in West by safely placing post-Enlightenment Europe in the "sanctified universe of obligation" (Wynter 1994), while writing the "savage races" as always already losers in the struggle for existence/ a Darwinian prophecy of Black extinction”

Scandalous details of objections to the Rotunda plans from last year: those who objected were more concerned about “heritage birthright” than giving one of the busiest maternity hospitals in Europe the necessary space to safely care for the tiniest patients. Grim.

In Europe policing mostly emerged from the old Night Watchmen practices that had been around since the 1600, and I grew up being taught that the model of modern policing in the west was the Metropolitan Police that was founded in the early 1800s

If nothing else Europe being able to pick up the slack to make up for the US reads to me more like there is a quiet consensus in the West that even if we COULD give more to Ukraine we wouldn't and that there is a soft cap at around 60-70 billion that we won't go past
Quite the chart

I never thought I’d say this, but yes – the United States should pull out of Europe. We already have enough autocrats with Russia and Hungary. So let’s get to work and strengthen Europe so we can defend it against tyrants from both the East and the West.

⭕️ While Trump admin. has only generally emphasized its opposition to formal annexation to outlets that asked for comment w/o directly condemning these specific cabinet measures, the internat'l reaction has been far more swift and pointed:

Rebecca Protten was born in 1718. She became a Moravian lay preacher after years of enslavement in the Caribbean.

Later, she lived in Moravian community in Europe; eventually went to African west coast.

Moravians were quite egalitarian: women & people of color included in portraits like this one.

QtipsANON. Don't I know it! When we lived in Canada we'd visit the US quite a bit. East Coast. West Coast. Canada. Europe. Moving to Europe early 2000's opened up new vistas to enjoy. Use your time to explore, experience, and photograph. You won't regret it!

CSTO Chief of Joint Staff Andrei Serdyukov has warned that Western actions are directly contributing to instability in the CSTO region, accusing the West of prolonging the Ukraine conflict and militarizing Europe to prepare for confrontation with Russia.

If you like coffee and find yourself near Carrickfergus, you must check out Marisol’s coffee shop, West Street. www.facebook.com/p/Planet-Ecu...

She imports Ecuadorian Coffee from family farms. I had an espresso today that was the richest, smoothest espresso I’ve had outside of Continental Europe.

China can only benefit as West Europe fights a proxy war with East Europe (Russia) in Ukraine…

China couldn’t ask for a better outcome.

They’ll let the two sides bleed each other white, and take Siberia without firing a shot.

We (by which I mean the West) thought that our values had won, owing to the end of the Cold War, and that free markets would lead to free peoples.

Getting China into the rules-based system was more important.

Now the rules-based order, at least for trade, is mostly gone outside of Europe.

One of the problems I have with Justinian's Flea theories (currently repped by Kyle Harper's book) is that Europe/West Asia gets hit by combos of plague, climate and war several times afterwards.
14th and 17th century Latin Europe's resilience is the big story rather the crisis.

"The decisive point is unfortunately being negated here: Armed support for Ukraine is not being strategically enhanced, but is shrinking."

Which leaves us with a continuation of the greatest strategic mistake by the West in this war: Giving Putin a real perspective of hope and a theory of victory.

I thought they were probably staying up with Dyche. They might well go down now, with West Ham finishing above them - managed by the guy they sacked after getting them into Europe last season. Absolute chaos.
