1) This study from Cornell University tested more than 6000 proteins before and after two exercise tests.

It found altered patterns in ME/CFS patients compared to controls, particularly in proteins involved in the immune system, signal transduction, and muscle contraction.

Trump expects the DOJ to launch investigations into figures mentioned in the Epstein materials — but not himself.

He also wants us to see the underlying scandal as a “hoax,” except the parts related to people he doesn’t like, indifferent to the obvious contraction. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

Caixin cites Lou Jiwei as saying that China's property contraction will continue for at least another five years. I agree, and think prices will bottom out in the next year or two in the top-tier cities, but won't for many more years in lower-tiered cities.

if it's a possessive, it's just "i-t-s"

Today’s UK GDP numbers stoke renewed growth concerns ahead of the important budget announcement:
British GDP expanded by just 0.1% in the third quarter, down from 0.3% in the previous quarter and missing the consensus forecast of 0.2% (please see the chart below from the FT).
The 0.1% contraction…

"You found me, thank god," he panted. "Let me go, we don't have much time." As you moved to his side, he moaned loudly and a contraction visibly swept across his swollen belly. Suddenly, you realized, there wasn't much time left at all. Birthing was imminent. #mpreg #AIArt

Fun fact: it’s actually a contraction. In full, it should be Llanfair*Y*pwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantisiliogogogoch.

That first y has been dropped for convenience.

Brexit was always going to make it much harder to access & sell into the EU27 (& EFTA4) without making it any *equally* compensating easier to access or sell anywhere else. Economic contraction was always Brexit guaranteed..1/2

“Daisies. Daisy. Did you know daisy is a contraction of day’s eye? Because it is. And these eyes are all the better off for gazing upon your beauty.”

No. The defibrillator helps keep him in normal sinus rhythm. If he went in ventricular fibrillation it would deliver a small shock to restore normal sinus rhythm (his stroke was probably from a clot forming in the heart due to irregular cardiac contraction).

Yeah. It's the prostaglandins to stimulate contraction of smooth muscle (like uterine cramps). Unfortunately, it also affects the smooth muscles in your bowels.

I heard flaxseed oil helps with it, but haven't tried it out

Big graph, little compute?

In our #NeurIPS2025 paper we propose geometry-aware edge-contraction-based pooling methods for GNNs.

Our methods preserve graph structure, make interpretable pooling choices, and ensure robust performance at downstream tasks.

They’re not saying what they think they’re saying No. 4,792:

Inflation is a measure of how fast prices rise. It isn’t a measure of absolute price levels.

If prices are dropping, then we’re experiencing deflation, which is a sign of and contributor to a severe contraction of the economy.
They’ve laid off so many people that the government is now getting its economic data from DoorDash.

Mostly I think nobody in Hollywood has any idea what to do right now. It's exciting! except for the possibility of a huge contraction in movie theaters and productions.

What I've been saying all along:
growth figures *include* inflation.

So now that nominal rates have slowed down, but inflation has not, severe contraction is underway.

Civilian economy tattered & going underground. Military one has hit its critical angle of attack; like a plane, it stalls and ..
‼️ Russia: “Russian economic growth effectively stalled in early 2024, and since then—for about 20 months now—national GDP has remained roughly flat, according to calculations by the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences.”
