dont really understand the point of adapting a game that is already basically a tv show with CYOA into television (its not even a graphical fidelity thing in this case since if it IS a bg3 specific thing?) esp. since general audiences are fine with just having other stories set in dnd world

I wish I remember the specific CYOA book it was that I Read Wrong as a kid, but the other one was Voyage of the Dawn Treader. That's definitely a "ymmv" with the christian overtones, but look, I read "this kid turns into a dragon and it is described in depth" at 12 and may have been. Changed...

The problem with writing a choose-your-own-adventure style dungeon is the number of entries you have to write skyrocketing as you deal with all the possible conditions. I’ve only done 4 rooms of this latest one so far and I’m nearing 60 entries dealing with the possibilities for each.

I don't really care about superheroes anymore either, but I enjoyed it. If you like CYOA stuff, I'd say give it a shot! I had some gripes with it, but it was still fun, the characters were fun, the management gameplay was fun, and it's comfortably short
