"It doesn't matter what your major is in college! I majored in underwater basket-weaving and now I work in finance" -- lots of people say this shit and they all sound like this meme

ok i only went SLIGHTLY overboard

a bit of this is "draw the rest of the fucking owl" as far as the SHAPE of smoke goes and that's something that i would absolutely say use a reference for. not only IRL references, but reference how other artists, esp historical ones, draw smoke too! and practice!!

-> function to process one rotation
-> function to signal whether a rotation results in a multiple of 100
-> function to set up recursion to count the number "1" signals
-> ...then draw the rest of the fucking owl (figure out how to move from IO world to my single functions)

it was pretty fun!

So what was the rest of the contract for? Drawing the rest of the fucking owl: data exchange, modeling, security. How much of that was just expected work as part of a website project like this, and how much is about the actual infrastructure of forecasting? Unclear. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-11...

As I have been saying over and over since at least 2020, people are right to advocate for this but the “and delivered” part is an intractable “draw the rest of the fucking owl” or “I would simply”. We can’t fix capacity and project management weaknesses simply through allocation. We lack the tools.
What if a political party campaigned on, and delivered, building shit?

Like actually investing in the future of the country — beyond just roads.

its really funny when u give recipes the "and then draw the rest of the fucking owl" treatment because honestly i did give u all the tools u need to replicate my recipe if you simply accept that food is art you can just make it and so yeah you know what? you can draw the rest of the fucking owl.

When the muse someday deems me again worthy of accessing the pathway between two eggs and draw the rest of the fucking owl, I'd like to try writing for Whump(whenever) or doing a Bad Things Happen bingo card

"Step two: draw the rest of the fucking owl," food edition.

I knew that a "one-step" salad had to be rage bait, but still, the website editor who doesn't consider meticulous ingredient prep to be part of a recipe? Electric chair.

Getting this as a tattoo and any time someone asks about it telling them “I’m going back next week so he can finish the line work”

I love reinforcement learning and the RL community, but even I have to admit that every “intro” lecture I’ve heard has a definite “draw the rest of the fucking owl” pattern

i understand the good intentions behind advice like this but it does feel very "draw the rest of the fucking owl". there's only so much value from advice that starts with "work for an extremely popular band that can afford your services so that you can later continue to earn a living doing it".
