Northodox Press were the standout publisher for me last year. Their focus is on historical fiction now, but I've read most of the other genre from the list below with a couple still to get to. All the ones I've read have been excellent

Get them while you can!

This peaceful #Cumbrian farm overlooks the #Eskdale and #Wasdale valleys. Fell walks start from the gate, Scafell Pike is half an hour away, and you can reach northwest coast beaches in 10 mins. Ravenglass and Muncaster are also close by.

Happy Memory - Ravenglass - July 2024

We spotted this anchor on the beach, the textures & colours of the heavy corrosion fascinated me. I wonder what its history was?

very much agree. there are the obvious, unchallenging places such as Blubberhouses. But to appreciate what lurks within the sounds and letters of places such as Ravenglass, or Shap? That asks for subtlety

Because to Portillo “railway” means the Titfield Thunderbolt or the Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway. Not an actual functioning public transit system.

Sunset at Ravenglass right now.

Arthur and Kay are paddling around in a small boat on Lake Galava.
Arthur: What do you think of Rheged seizing all of Carvetia except for Llys Dinas?
Kay: Ah, it had to happen. The Fisher Kings can’t defend the coast worth a damn. Maybe now Ravenglass won’t be burned down by the Irish every summer.
