#stubstack
I post more than ADTR chapters on Stubstack. Want to check out everything? Subscribe and get everything right in your inbox. It's free (and even once I start paid subscriptions, everything will be free for 3 months after it's posted, so plenty of time to enjoy it before it goes behind the paywall).

Enter Dr. Jean Twenge, who published new analysis on her Stubstack using weighted, nationally representative data illustrating another plunge in trans identity. Cue the tweets from Ben Ryan and others claiming vindication for the social contagion theory. www.generationtechblog.com/p/trans-iden...
Trans identification really is in free fall: New data
And so is nonbinary identity.

Who are you, and why are you telling complete strangers to get off Stubstack? Would you walk up to someone on the street and say that? Seriously?

I saw another writer who mentioned moving her Stubstack content to Ghost. Sorry you’re dealing with this

I never really got stubstack. You're just blogging, the veneer of it being an article does nothing but kinda annoy me.

Seriously stupid-my monthly NYT subscription is $25 a month. Was keeping it bc of my Wordle stats . Screw that. I don’t need that. Now going to give it to another StubStack journalist

Honestly, I don't know who these white middle-aged stubstack a'holes are and I really don't care what they think about political violence!

How in the hell did someone put me on all of these MAGA'ot-ish lists?

F' substack!!

I unsubscribed from Crooked's newsletter when they announced their move to substack. Today I got their stubstack newsletter, & had to go re-unsubscribe to whatever the fuck they auto-subscribed me to after I unsubscribed. Join the Nazi site & force people to receive shit they don't want, great move.
Been quietly deleting this newsletter unread from my inbox daily for years, this is my cue to just unsubscribe completely.

There isn't an algorithm to appease here though?

Also, posting so-called "progressive" content to a Stubstack doesn't inspire confidence that he is fully aware of the political landscape.

The irony is (I suffered through the article) that what he’s saying is…mostly fine? Like, men should be competent and not assholes instead of imitating Andrew Tate. Real revolutionary stuff there. Definitely worth a whole-ass stubstack essay pretending he’s upending the status quo.

I'm ages past not reposting anything with a stubstack link even if I like what it's saying and think more people should see it
Daryl Cooper—the current #1 History Substacker—in 2016: “Think of how most people you know got here. It wasn’t from basic American ideology to reading Mein Kampf and then, boom, they’re onboard. It’s a process, and you have to initiate people without scaring them off."
How a Nazi-obsessed amateur historian went from obscurity to the top of Substack
Tucker Carlson has called Darryl Cooper the “most important popular historian working in the United States today.” His background is more extreme than previously reported.

I've launched a Stubstack today. As fans bid farewell to #OzzyOsbourne, I reflect on the "rowdy" metal gigs I went to as a kid and how I felt safer among the headbangers than I do at far less "controversial" shows now. If you like what you read, do subscribe. thepitchbin.substack.com/p/i-felt-saf...
I felt safer as a teen girl at heavy metal gigs than I do at less 'rowdy' shows now
As fans bid goodbye to heavy metal hellraiser Ozzy Osbourne, I'm reminded of the community spirit I felt among the "wild" crowds of metal bands like his.

since I can't reply in thread, here's my thread of people migrating off stubstack to various alternatives that I add to as I find more examples: lots of tips including which ones pay writers more than the Nazi-funding platform
As I understand it, the find-a-viable-alternative-to-Substack challenge should not be hard for the BIGGEST accounts on Substack. I've seen folks say that Buttondown and the other alternatives are actually CHEAPER than Substack for folks who are making a LOT of money on Substack.
