Oh and I was brave enough this time to ride around in tuktuks.. but only in the village, not Kolkata. Soooo fun!!
The best part of 2024, even though I got super sick after and almost died 🤷🏻♀️ was this trip to India.
MIL and her assistant never drank before, but wanted to so we did 😂

Oh and I was brave enough this time to ride around in tuktuks.. but only in the village, not Kolkata. Soooo fun!!
When we flew within the country, we wore our N95s for the flights. The air quality on Twin Otter planes was actually very very good, but we still masked. A couple times we took taxis and wore our N95s. We did not in the tuktuks or on the open-air boats.

African safari is definitely on my bucket list, but I want to do it on horseback so I need to lose a bit of weight first. And do some serious rehab/fitting on my spine, which is currently hurting more than it has for months. Too much time in tuktuks!

In Albania, cabs were a fixed $3 CAD in the city (and mostly Mercedes!). In Laos, tuktuks were robbery. HATED them. In Thailand, meh, it’s complicated. But Albania, where everyone says it’s all thieves and mafia, remains the most consistent and honestly prices place I’ve been.
