In our chapter, we use GLES data to show:
1️⃣ Border proximity is linked to EU support,
2️⃣ but this effect is weakened in rural areas,
3️⃣ and only holds for western borders – likely reflecting differing cross-border experiences.
(Somewhat contrasting Saarland/Saar-Lor-Lux and Vorpommern.)
