Shark fact:

Most "great" white sharks are actually mediocre. They're just extremely confident.

I think it's just someone at Ford thinking they could copy what Honda did with the Prologue, but in reverse. Maybe as a hedge play in case some of Ford's in-house EVs don't do well. Then Nissan is just desperate.

That the @washingtonpost.com can’t keep @crampell.bsky.social around is damning. Anyone familiar with Rampell’s work would know that it would be compatible with WaPo’s intended editorial direction. But she didn’t want to be compromised. Good for her. www.semafor.com/article/10/0...

I read this as suggesting one should shred their family portraits (sure I guess if paranoid), frozen treats (seems like a shock hazard), and DJs (that's a crime).

Inspired by a post I just saw in which someone admitted they hadn’t seen a single episode of Friends nor the film Love Actually… what cultural hole do you have that’s a bit weird for your generation?

I’ll go first: I haven’t seen Dirty Dancing.

Read the thread, but short version is one nuclear plant that maybe could/should have been saved pre-IRA, and 5 aging, dead-man-walking coal plants doomed by cheap alternatives. Good riddance to those.

I have been digging into why NJ lost six large electricity generating stations since 2018. I get the partisan talking points, but as an investor, I wanted to understand why the owners shut down these plants.
POLITICO Pro: Jack Ciattarelli says Murphy shut down 6 power plants. Not quite true.
On the campaign trail, Ciattarelli keeps blaming Gov. Phil Murphy and the Democrats for shutting down six power plants during his administration.

John Roberts: Good morning, counsel. Before we begin, I understand that there is an update to the caption in this case?
Me: Yes, your honor. My client recently changed their name.
JR: Alright. And what is your client's new name?
Me: Webster Bivens, your honor.
JR: <covering the mic> oh shit

Agencies are established by federal law, passed through the constitutional lawmaking process. Federal money can also only be spent as directed by law. Congress has the right to refuse to agree to spending bills. If they refuse, the president doesn't get the right to violate the laws and Constitution
