I would turn a stadium (maybe the Cowboys stadium?) into a ball pit and then stage naval battles with inflatable boats crewed by elementary school aged children.

Admission to spectate would be free and it would be broadcast worldwide at the same time as the Super Bowl.

Fair enough, not judging anyone for living their life as they want.

We get all the vaccines, but I have kids in large-group care/school settings. They can't mask, and I'm not gonna mask at home with my family, so I'm always at maximum pathogen exposure regardless.

I didn't realize some people still wear masks everytime they leave the house (not just when sick).

My social circle is other parents, where low-grade illness is just the background noise. Very different lives I guess.

And yeah, to the broader point, there's a tendency to treat indigenous nations as cohesive or unified in a way that flattens and dulls the much more interesting specific histories.

If you've ever filed a FIPPA request, you know that our governments are already way too secretive. (FIPPA doesn't apply to FNs either.)

That isnt peculiar to the Aztecs either. Whenever HBC put up a trading post at a new river mouth, the locals at the mouth would immediately try to use their new guns to become middlemen and keep the upriver nations from trading direct with the company. Sometimes by force.
