Bernie's ideas might be good (some certainly are) but his eye for staff is provably *terrible*.

Given that picking staff for the Executive is the primary role of a President, I must reluctantly conclude that Bernie just isn't POTUS material.

When I was in high school, I posted definitions of the word "Fascism" on our community boards. A particular English teacher who was universally-reviled ran around tearing them down and screaming "look at what he's done!" It's funny how just defining terms can be like a kitchen light for the roaches.

Whenever I see men complain about the male loneliness crisis or unique emotional/psychological issues faced by men, it’s very clear that they just don’t see women as full people capable of experiencing the exact same emotions they do

Were I to become El Presidente at some point, one of my earliest proclamations would abolish MBA degrees; the social benefits of these courses are demonstrably outweighed by the costs to society.

I used to joke about going long on guillotine futures in my retirement portfolio; alas, I had to stop because the joke stopped being funny and started sounding like financial advice.

Trump has a very simple worldview: the Presidency is not a public office, it is his property. He can use it to satisfy his personal or partisan whims, or to enrich himself.

So here, he threatens to reorganize an international competition, cohosted by Mexico and Canada, to settle a vendetta.

You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month

I just checked and this is real. It's on Border Patrol's official Instagram (I don't see it on Facebook) and is being celebrated by Nazis on Twitter, as you can see in the screenshot.

The clip is just 13 seconds long too, so it's a very intentional thing. We've got a Nazi government.

But, should The People take the bit in their teeth, and figure out how to do organised violence... it won't be 1861 USA, it will be 1970s N. Ireland.

The Forces of the State can't be everywhere; but the Resistance can't afford to be obvious.

one way to make stories like this matter is to just share it. conservatives are very good at sharing stories that further right wing narratives. liberals assume "everybody has seen it" when 99.99999% of the time nobody in your circle has seen it.

To everyone who says, "But this won't matter": *MAKE IT MATTER.*

You have that power! This is not inside baseball and your friends and neighbors will likely be appalled. And if they're *not* appalled, don't be cynical yourself. Take the lead, give the cue.

I selected my new employment partially based on that it was accessible via public transit (OCTranspo O-Train Line 1). I sold my old Mazda hatchback, got a Presto transit pass, signed up for Communauto car sharing, and have not purchased a new car since. And I am perfectly happy.
