And I feel bad for them too because it’s literally always one person who is bouncing around. God forbid something scans wrong, multiple people are buying alcohol, or multiple people need something unlocked from different areas 🙄

I’m always for increasing staff at stores (and taking away locked aisles). Shopping has gotten slower because I either have to spend time finding an employee to unlock something or stand at self-checkout and wait long for an employee to come over bc they’re always occupied with someone else

Retailers wanted to play in our faces lying about theft to justify all sorts of VC-induced nonsense and my city said alright, you have a theft problem? Staff your goddamned stores. Companies cling to lean staffing as a hostile labor practice, those of us who've worked retail have heard it all before
