I want to add this, because if you haven't been in this situation, maybe you don't know. When a cop in riot gear is shoving you and yelling "GET BACK," there's usually nowhere to actually get back to, because there's a crowd of people behind you and you literally can't move at the pace they want.

I'm a big fan of "what if" type stories but yeah, the episodes were really shallow and the animation was terrible.

Quick update on what we just saw here—*before curfew*, ISP troopers, Broadview PD and CCSO deputies began menacing demonstrators outside the ICE facility. Several arrests.

Pepper ball guns at the ready, a bit of a standoff going with remaining protesters. All people are doing is playing music.

The character design, like, found a way to make very androgynous characters and then sexed them up. There's an uncanny valley thing going on. They're kind of sort of humans and also very not humans.

There's a Tron cartoon that is very visually distinct. A key character design is incredibly long legs & arms, just stretched out, like daddy long legs spiders.

The women have virtually no torsos, just tits stacked on top of hips, their long legs with a gap of a few inches btwn their inner thighs.

It's been really, really nice seeing the Catholic social justice tradition in the US feel like it's empowered to spread its wings again without risking censure after a long time of being suppressed by US Catholic leadership, and it's exactly what I was hoping for from Pope Bob.

What Fr Dowling is doing here was not just "offering communion to detainees". A full on Eucharistic Procession is a really fucking big deal. In Catholic theological framing, those folks were the honor guard with the very great privilege of escorting Jesus himself to the detention center.

The monstrance (from the Latin "monstrare", "to show") is the vessel that holds the consecrated Eucharist for adoration, and while it holds the consecrated Eucharist, it becomes the actual presence of Jesus. One does not worship the monstrance itself, but the presence it houses.
