Ages ago, David Eddings had his publisher send us World Fantasy Award judges a cringy 16 page color pamphlet he'd clearly put together himself & then clumsily edited into third person about why he should win the lifetime achievement award, but also why his wife, who helped write the books should not

Half the folks around the table - a pretty heavily invested in genre group - didn't know.

I know people the memory of goldfish but ICE is still very much active here in Los Angeles, LAPD helps them most of the time, and people are still resisting. Local media is still covering it so follow @lataco.bsky.social

As some of y'all know, I volunteer at a women's shelter in Brooklyn. Over the time I've been there, a lot of women have approached me about starting a knitting/crocheting group.
