“Lord Hodge made the comments as part of a wider-ranging interview to mark his acceptance of a lifetime
achievement award, prior to his retirement from a long and distinguished legal career. Several topics were covered,
of which this was one. Lord Hodge made clear that he would not comment on whether the UK should or should
not leave the ECHR, but pointed out to the interviewer some of the wider issues that might be considered by those
who were debating these points.”
That should do it, though reaction so far has been muted – except for his comments on FWS,
which are trending positively on social media.

Step forward John McManus, who covers religion and ethics for the BBC. On Tuesday of this week (2 November 2021) he weighed in with a tweet that drew direct parallels between people rejecting the “lesbian pressure” article and past failure to take concerns about Jimmy Savile.

That tweet is now deleted. But the intent was clear. A man who is supposed to know something about ethics sees no issue in slurring an entire community with implied paedophilia using the tried-and-trusted “no smoke without fire” technique.

My paper also highlights the UK press' complicity in mainstreaming the LGBA's anti-trans campaigning. The data shows UK press bias that whitewashes the LGBA and uses it as a weapon against the trans community in anti-trans stories. This contrasts with the media's attacks against pro-trans charities.

Notable in today's YouGov that the centre/ left bloc - Lab/Green/LD/SNP are on 54%. With Reform/Tories on 43%. That's the biggest differential in a long time.
I think useful to track blocs given instability between parties at the moment.

They are forcibly de-transitioning trans children/adolescents. Those most severely impacted are aged 11-15. The risk to this group is very high, and NHS England/NHS Sussex know this. They don't care at all about the safety or well-being of trans under 18s.
