The sad thing is, essentially a Republican *can* win in Minneapolis they just have to be Jacob Frey and pretend to be a Democrat while vetoing labor standards, Accepting love notes from ICE for facilitating their Lake St raid, and failing to reject a slanderous documentary that insults his city.

If a Republican could win in Minneapolis, then this is what their donor base would look like.
An excerpt of an Axios Twin Cities newsletter stating: In Frey's corner: "All of Mpls" - a PAC fueled by donations from several developers, centrist labor unions, the Minneapolis Regional Chamber and even Lyft - has spent nearly $344,000 to influence city races as of late September.
• An offshoot group, "Thrive Mpls," spent another $46,000.
• A third group, "We Love Minneapolis PAC" — underwritten by the Downtown
Council and landlord groups - has spent nearly $122,000 to bolster Frey-aligned council candidates.

If you're keeping score at home, the Republican chair of the National Governors Association has expressed more resistance to sending in the National Guard to states than the Democratic chair - Maryland Governor Wes Moore who has been silent. www.baltimoresun.com/2025/10/08/m...

Texas AG Ken Paxton hired a former staffer to work on a recent case. As a state employee, her labor would have cost taxpayers $641.

As a private attorney, Paxton allowed her to bill $3,780 an hour, so that day of work cost taxpayers $24,570.

Despite having an office of hundreds of attorneys, Ken Paxton is frequently opting for private lawyers — many to whom he has personal or political ties — to argue on behalf of Texas. One attorney cost...

PACs will flood this November’s election in Minneapolis with almost $2 million, most of that going to boost the chances of Mayor Jacob Frey and centrist City Council candidates. Who’s bankrolling this fundraising bonanza, and what do they want in return? racketmn.com/meet-the-big...

This is well said. Trump and Noem need to back off before we have another Kent State tragedy.
Tweet from Aaron Reichlin-Melnick quoting Laura N. Rodríguez Presa.
Aaron’s comment: “DHS is an escalation spiral; the more they do things like this, the more people on the ground push back... and I'm deeply worried what the ultimate result will be.”
Laura’s tweet reads: “A federal agent points a weapon at a woman who was recording them... Jess, a U.S. citizen and member of a neighborhood patrol team that documents ICE activity, was filming when the incident occurred earlier today in the Berwyn area.”
Attached photo shows a federal agent inside a vehicle pointing a rifle out of the driver’s side window.

With the MNDFL rescinding the endorsement for mayor and rejecting the appeal, 😤 I also updated this digital graphic. Plz feel free to save + share, and if you'd like the design files to print, get @ me.

Many thanks to @viamarsala18.bsky.social for the inspo + everyone who joined the collaboration.💖
Design featuring text and two columns of vertically stacked images of candidates for mayor of Minneapolis - MN Sen. Omar Fateh, Rev. DeWayne Davis, and Jazz Hampton - and their campaign imagery above the lit skyline of downtown, with the lit clock tower at City Hall in the lower center. Text reads: "MPLS: RANK THESE 3; FATEH: *Labor Endorsed! LET'S WORK TOGETHER; (don't rank frey) DAVIS: WE DESERVE BETTER; (don't rank frey) HAMPTON: TURN THE PAGE; (don't rank frey) for mayor on election day; 11.4.25"

Assume ICE agents are warrantless thugs. Do not treat them as legitimate figures of authority; there’s a strong chance they’re not even real government agents.

This is exactly why ICE needs to be unmasked and ID’d — like cops.

📌 Cases of ICE impersonators this year alone outnumber the last four presidential terms combined.

Mayor Frey is an enigma: A 2-term mayor with a message suggesting he's the zero tolerance on encampments candidate, yet he has presided over an endless string of encampment tragedies. The shootings, fires, the wackamole strategy, those are his results. The rhetoric doesn't match reality.

TRUMP: Suspending who?

Q: Habeas corpus

Trump is misappropriating life-saving funds without explanation, and saddling us with a weakened disaster response for 2026.

FEMA employees spoke out, and now they are being retaliated against. Stand with the #FEMA36 as we point the finger at Trump and Noem for putting Americans in danger.

White House and DHS cancelling a $11b payment in disaster-relief funds meant to reimburse states that have already had to bear the brunt of recovery — from NC to TX.

It becomes an IOU for next year, reducing FEMA's already diminished $26.5b by nearly half. We'll have only $15.5b until Sept. 2026.
