IDK, man. School started 2 weeks ago for us, and once again students remind me that they’re so curious and interested in the world and anxious to ask big questions. We hear that these questions are no longer useful or relevant, but wherever that’s coming from, it’s not what students believe.

I am a former premed student. I dropped out due to having panic attacks. The class I was taking was human sexuality. The part the professor was grading weirdly on was anatomy, a thing I have an intense amount of upper-level education on. ChatGPT is not going to save me here lmao.

There are a number of accounts on Tiktok and IG that do extremely important work walking viewers through AI-generated slop videos like this and help them think critically about what they are seeing, how to spot it, etc. It’s a new era of critical media literacy instruction and I am happy to see it

That TikTok account has a few fake videos of reporters getting detained. They make these videos because it’s a big story in the news. Real reporters are getting arrested. And so people are making AI videos to get engagement on TikTok.

My hometown is actually a metropolitan zone that encompasses several other cities. One of them is its own township. They're well-known for being a racist enclave for rich conservative racist whites. Prop 50 would split their city into 3 districts, ensuring they will never elect another Nazi.
