Boulez is going to the charity shop. It's just not good enough. #NowPlaying the Böhm Siegfried which is much more like it. Better in every way. As fast as you need it to be. Tremendous through line - it really does sound like one (big) single piece.

I spent a lot of time this semester explaining why it produces bad work but at the end of the day, they're being asked to do a thing they find difficult, and this makes it easy for them, without any meaningful consequence. And the university encourages them to use it.

Here’s Farage calling him an “honest, decent and honourable man”.

Let’s not forget that whilst he was taking the bribes, Farage was making similar pro-Russian speeches in the European Parliament.

Early homework today for the next part of the Ring Cycle at Covent Garden so #NowPlaying Siegfried cond. Janowski. Hugely underrated Cycle and overall preferable to some other big name studio versions (Solti, Karajan, Levine, Haitink, I am looking at you)

Yes! Old memories activated. Borders had an excellent music section in terms of coverage but they were always more expensive. But back in the day they were occasionally good for hard-to-find titles (cd releases on Constellation being a good example).
