The first time the Confederate flag ever paraded through the US Capitol was on January 6, 2021.

The first time the White House was damaged in over 200 years since the US rebuilt in the 1820s after the British burned it in the war of 1812 was mid October, 2025.

the president has destroyed the east wing of the white house without so much as a word of input from anyone else to build a royal ballroom paid for with bribes
NEW: After The Washington Post reported Monday on the demolition of the "East Wing facade," a new picture obtained by Law Dork that was taken on Tuesday shows that a substantial portion of the entirety of the East Wing has been demolished.

Supreme Court rule 6-3 that the DOJ owing Trump $230 million is a bargain.

It’s not that the 9th Cir is off the wall. It’s that two Trump appointed judges on the 9th Cir decided they want to be on his short list for S.Ct. I’d be very surprised if the court did not take this up en banc and vacate the ruling asap.

9th Cir. National Guard case headed to en banc review:

"...Judge Susan Graber essentially begged for patience from the public as she implored the full appeals court to act:

“I urge my colleagues on this court to act swiftly to vacate the majority’s order..."

In what constitutional universe is "the President is telling the Justice Department to pay him $230 million" not an abuse of power?
Exactly because Elon Musk is a fascist loser whose views most decent Americans reject.

Musk can only get “engagement” on X by using his army of bots.

A note for sports: Bluesky’s engagement rate was x10 higher than X’s across a sampling of identical posts made on both platforms by @rapsheet.bsky.social (sharing with permission)

Fwiw we see a similar trend across all communities, not just sports. Real people, real conversations.

"Whatever lies behind Trump’s cupidity towards Putin, we should be long past caring why. The reality is settled fact. Putin has fewer cards in his hand than Trump supposes. One of those cards is Trump." My column. www.ft.com/content/7deb...

It does somehow sum everything up neatly. Trashy vulgarian unilaterally decides to tear up an iconic American building as though it’s one of his tacky private clubs, rather than a national monument he has very temporarily (and foolishly) been permitted to inhabit.

European leaders and Ukraine’s allies issued a careful warning to US President Donald Trump early today over his lukewarm support for Kyiv, backing his call to halt fighting but rejecting any suggestion of territorial concessions to Moscow.
Ukraine allies to Trump: Yes to freezing the line, no to changing borders
Joint statement from U.K., Germany, France, Italy and the EU comes after U.S. president holds tense meeting with Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Why is a serious, fact-based publication giving even the slightest credibility to anything the inveterate liar Trump says anymore?

The battlefield & country reports if anything point to the tide starting to turn against Putin.

If you look at today's tweets and "truths," you'll see the president of the United States of America is too stupid to know how to spell Colombia.

It's unbelievably egregious to know how stupid he and his entire cabinet prove to be on a daily basis.

They are too stupid to be embarrassed 😔
Exactly. Obama should have insisted on providing aid to homeowners not Wall Street,
IMO promising people hope & change & then bailing out bank donors as they foreclosed on 10 million families was the defining political moment that birthed this era & IMO liberals/Dems still refusing to reckon with this & discard the politics that led to it is part of why this descent persists.

WaPo is reporting that former SSA data chief Charles Borges says Musk’s “U.S. DOGE Service” copied a federal mainframe with data on hundreds of millions of Americans. SSA denies a breach, but insiders say DOGE had unprecedented access and moved the data to a vulnerable cloud.
