ノーベル文学賞が決まったが、最初の反応は「László Krasznahorkaiってどう発音するの」だった。クラスナホルカイね。やがてこの人はBéla Tarr監督の「サタンタンゴ」の原作者であることを知った。この映画アマプラで見られるが7時間あるうえ、有名(?)な「猫殺し」のシーンがあるので見るのをためらっている...。

Results! I rinsed the fiber and the color was a beautiful, medium brown. After washing and drying, it lightened a bit. I also reduced some of the dye to make ink and noted some swatches in my sketchbook. To prevent mold growth, I added about a tablespoon of alcohol to the ink. #blackwalnutink

day 1012: a mixed media piece that resulted from me dying some scrap fabric for a future sketchbook. I ended up using some acrylic markers and a white colored pencil to finish this piece up.

Here’s a strange fungus #fungifriends, the Blushing Rosette, Abortiporus biennis. It has 2 growth forms, it can form an attractive rosette but more commonly exists as an amorphous mass which exudes red-brown liquid. Just look at those guttation droplets!!! 😍

I need an ID on this one because I feel my ID app is gaslighting me: I am pretty certain this is a Multiclavula mucida Lichen and not a Clavulina rugosa.

Cat people of Bluesky! Would someone like to adopt this sweet kitty?? She’s from the same rescue org as my new cat, Ken, & flew from Azerbaijan with him a month ago but hasn’t found her home yet. She’s in Chicago. I’ll post her listing in the comments (and info in alt)

Aylana, a 1 year old cat with white fur and gray/ tawny tabby markings, and bright yellowish-green eyes. She started life as an abandoned stray kitten in a village in Azerbaijan, and one day was kicked around by some children and was badly injured.
Thankfully someone intervened and called a rescue to come pick her up! The vet didn't think she'd survive her injuries, but she persevered, and they ended up successfully rehabilitating her. She has been flown into the US and is now being fostered in Chicago, waiting to find a permanent home.

伏せ耳でなくなったので少し穏やかに見えます。まだ緊張していますが、時々フガーフガーといびきをかいて寝ているようなので少しづつ緊張は解けていると思います。
