Many things about the current moment are indeed Not Great, but I think we need to consciously reflect on the little ways our quality of life has improved in recent decades. And the over-the-air TV experience of 2025 makes 2005 look like the Stone Age.
I think my favorite artifacts from the past are the things that are so specific to a certain point in time, or were so thoroughly made obsolete, or considered so universally bad, that everyone basically forgot them instantly. Like CD longboxes. Or these things.

After the AI bubble I hope the next bubble is Laser Tag. Laser tag arenas on every street corner. Blacklight lit battlefields propping up every sector of the economy. A one story building by the side of the highway called “Blast Zone: Pizza & Arcade” valued at $2.7 trillion
getting into Edmund Fitzgerald season, and I'm not sure there's a line in any song that gets me every time quite like "does anyone know where the love of God goes when the waves turn the minutes to hours?"

Recency bias notwithstanding, I feel like Vladito and Yamamoto are two of the most astonishing sustained postseason performances I've ever seen. I'm sure Madison Bumgarner has a case but I don't want care to think about him at this moment. I'd rather think about the cool guys.

sorry but it’s Yamamoto, coming back out after 90+ pitches in a game and winning it, absolutely insane
honestly give mvp to miguel rojas idc he's the one
