For the record, me saying “she’s at the end of her imperial phase” is not me saying “she fell off” or “no one likes her anymore.” It’s me saying she’s not gonna be at her cultural peak for a time and that’s *fine.* Oasis hasn’t been in their imperial since the 90s and they still sell out stadiums.

Honestly, it does feel like we’re at the end of Taylor Swift’s second imperial phase now that the Eras tour is over and The Life of a Showgirl has gotten mixed reviews from both critics and fans. Hope her next album is weird as fuck.
