One of my go-to sources is Dollar Tree Dinners (on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok). She's very conscious of the fact that people struggling to afford food likely also have limited time and kitchen equipment, and her recipes factor that in. I've tried 3 recipes of hers and all have come out well.

There are many online resources for eating on a low grocery budget. Here’s a good one, using the Roast Chicken Plan. Rotisserie chickens are still pretty cheap or you can get a whole roaster for 1.99/lb (as of Saturday at HyVee) www.allrecipes.com/50-dollar-gr...

Reminder that COLD deli chicken (like chilled rotisserie chickens or cold fried/baked chicken) is SNAP eligible and often much cheaper than the hot stuff.

If you can’t cook, your food budget is gonna be higher. It’s a good investment to spend some time learning basic kitchen skills! And there’s so much free info online you don’t need a paid class

Mamdani is going to win. The question will now be, "Can you reproduce this?" It's doubtful. He's talented. But it's possible, first of all, if you remember all politics is local, and the more local you get - the more people recognize you - the more things like age and parties cease to matter.

This piece was long and circuitous, and the takeaway was bombing Qatar, which had thought it paid trump off, finally went too far. It only hints at months of using deliberate starvation as a weapon on a scale it hadn't been previously, to take a deal that was on the table for months.
