About me: My name is Erika McCorkle, but I also go by Kira of the Wind online. Feel free to call me by either name. I’m open to cute nicknames, too
I am a millennial, internetting since 2003.
I have been writing/worldbuilding since the 90s
I am genderfluid and fictosexual, but she/her pronouns work just fine

I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology
Work the night shift at a blood bank as a lab tech
Taught myself Japanese, but I’ve forgotten much of what I once knew
Big fan of fantasy (games, books, anime, etc.)
I spend free time writing, reading, watching anime, or playing video games

My books and writing
I write fantasy that takes place in a queernormative world (meaning a world where being queer is normal and accepted).
My books are Dark Fantasy with Adult content, extremely in-depth worldbuilding, and themes of revenge and found families
I have two novels out currently and a few short stories and serials on my Patreon.

I don't code 😅 I use Paul Beverley's website: Macros for Editing. He has a whole bunch of code already written.

But I do believe it's VBA!

I took a singular Python class in college and quickly learned I can not code lol

Macros! I started using Macros to look up words in the dictionary and add words to a Style Sheet.

Macros are amazing tools that save editors lots of time. I'm excited to learn/use more of them in the future!

I do have limited working hours for a number of reasons so if you catch me from 2pm-5pm, I might be napping/gaming.

Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

Also naming them. I will sometimes change names in the middle of plotting or drafting to better match the character.
