We're at the point in the story where the FBI is showing up at a dude's house because he attended a protest. Without suspicion of a crime, agents ask important questions like who produced signs for the event.

And it had an impact--he decided not to go back to the streets to voice his opinions.
I obtained video of two FBI agents visiting an anti-ICE protester not charged with any crime.

While the media continue to mock Trump's war on "Antifa" as legally impossible, the FBI is quietly implementing it with investigations like these:

Bill C-12 would let the government:
• Suspend visas
• Halt refugee hearings
• Cancel immigration applications
• Block people from reapplying

All in the name of a vague “public interest.” That’s dangerous. #RefugeeRights

Here's a consolidated thread with some of our more recent #SingleStair explorations.

We've been doing these with the aim to influence vancouver zoning and building code deliberations, and because we want to understand what the potential is.

Yup.
“We need to start proposing solutions that are actually going to make people go ‘that’s right,’” Avi says.

He gives the example of Stellantis moving auto production to the U.S.

“Fine, bye. We’re going to keep that factory and all the machines that we paid for and run it under public ownership.”

Alberta is a beta test for what the CPC would do to Canada
Just a reminder…

While Smith and Lagrange are talking about the biggest factors influencing health outcomes and why they’re profitizing Alberta’s healthcare…

The #1 factor that determines health outcomes is made worse by the policy.

It’s poverty.

okay, so FL rehabilitating mccarthyism. 🫤
Florida’s Social Studies standards are getting another update next month.

No, those terrible African American History standards will stay, but there’s a huge update to our Anti-Communism education.

This is just one page.

Not the kind of analysis that should make BCers proud:
"British Columbians are aiming to shoot past even the Saudis in CO2 extraction per person."

The CO2 extractors: BC is among world's most aggressive www.nationalobserver.com/2025/10/22/a...
The CO2 extractors: British Columbians are among world's most aggressive
They rocketed past the Americans decades ago. Now they are set to blow past even the Saudis with a massive new LNG industry – in charts.

Setting aside The Horror for a quick second, what is even the business strategy here?

They are making their stores actively hostile to and unsafe for the guys who go in to make big bulk materials purchases every day
For folks asking if they've made it *inside* a Home Depot yet as the business has clearly just continued letting agents do whatever they want in their lots, the answer is yes. This is from yesterday in Evanston.

"Good design is not about forcing people to make safe choices. It is about making unsafe behavior harder to slip into by accident. Most speeders and distracted drivers aren’t weighing risks; they are lulled into a sense of safety that isn’t real." Jon Jon Wesolowski

When communicating to the public about traffic safety projects, I propose that we dispense with the phrases:

"Calming traffic" or worse
"Slowing down the cars"

And replace them with:

"Preventing illegal speeding"

This is how we need to think about public services like the post, transit, and so on.
Dutch Railways: social profit of €1.33 billion, financial loss of €141 million. It delivers 11x (!!!!) more value to society than it costs.

Via:
social inclusion
increase in property values near stations;
welfare of employees and consumers;
productive use of travel time.

It's a shakedown, Axios! What the fuck is this "request" shit?

Also you're not putting "DOJ integrity to the test" if you know what's gonna happen. Can you even pretend you don't? That's like saying "ten pints of ale puts bladder to the test" or "unlocked safe puts burglar's integrity to the test"
