So many things have
torn us apart for so long, but when the Portland #NoKings march goes under the Hawthorne Bridge and everyone shouts as loud as they can and everyone is getting high on the collective roar we make you realize this thing is bringing us together and get shivers in your frog suit

Multiple states, MULTIPLE, are reporting pauses, delays and cessation of SNAP AND WIC.

Multiple states.
You've got to be fair to Jenny. She doesn't KNOW that the brown liquid was shit. Because she wasn't there. She's just staying true to the fact checking ethos which prevails over at the NY Trash.

NYT sanewashing extends, apparently, to sparing NYT readers from a description of Trump's literal shit.

I've got a half-written post (started day after Charlie Kirk memorial) about how Stephen Miller is actually really shitty at execution.

Today, we've got two stories abt loose ends (the submarine survivors & the informants who short-circuited their deportation to Bukele) that undermine his fascism.

Those with sharp eyes might detect a subtle difference in NYT play last month of an event in one city, w 100,000+ attendees, versus play this morning of some 2500+ events w many millions of attendees, in all 50 states.

See if you can spot it! /s

Then you can find today's story on p A23

If this paper disappeared tomorrow we would lose nothing

here’s another example of the coordinated messaging — since the “violent rioters” line didn’t work, they’re going with the “irrelevant seniors” line

bargain bin psyops — block ‘em all
I’d like to suggest that at the next No Kings event that a short “nap break” be instituted for our (mostly) senior crowd.

so many quotes from this in our household familect. Showed it to the children a couple years ago and it holds up surprisingly well. Plus, Alan Rickman being over the top evil is never not a good time.
35 years ago today QUIGLEY DOWN UNDER was released in theaters. Set in the dusty expanse of the Australian outback under an epic Basil Poledouris score, Simon Wincer managed to craft a perfect modern western that has remained an underrated gem of the genre.

This is SO revealing about the godawful (hollowed out, decimated, etc.) Richmond Times-Dispatch: check out where they buried the big story from yesterday ("No Kings"). And the Roanoke Times is mostly sports. bluevirginia.us/2025/10/sund...
Now I'm wondering how the failing NY Trash covered MLK in 1963 in DC.

There have been three major protests of the Trump era. Hands off had ~3 million people, the first No Kings had ~5 million people, and yesterday had ~7 million people. You certainly wouldn't know these were some of the largest protest in American history from reading the New York Times the next day.

No Kings protesters in NJ & VA get to take all that energy to the polls now in very important elections in their states 2 weeks from now. Make your voices heard in the streets & at the ballot box. Vote against all Trump allies/enablers & send a message to the rest of them for us.

Every post about how many people were at No Kings has a reply about how all these people should have freaking VOTED and let me just say to the people typing those replies: you are very very stupid, and the time has come to shut da fuck up

We know the NYTimes buried No Kings as the 4th story on its digital site. The print paper just has a photo and article on p.23. Yet plugs a B Stiller movie and how Team Felon likes so social media. Article buried on p A23. BOOTLICKERS. Maybe it is. the “failing NYTimes.”

No Kings organizers: Upwards of 7 million people attended the October 18 rallies across the country.

New York Times: “thousands of people across the country protested a president they accused of using his power like a king.”

The reason I keep ranting about No Kings is I don't think people get how deep the rot and gaslighting goes.

As a general reference, when something political is happening, ask why the problem you care about is not being solved and be suspicious of anyone in charge saying they are on your side.

Historically if state media sides with you it means that you’re not a resistance movement, so No Kings is likely being effective if state media isn’t giving them a fair shake

I was thinking about this after No Kings.

It seems like the left should take the No Kings turnout as a challenge. If the feckless boomer libs can get millions on the street, then what can the left achieve? What tactics and organizing can we do? Instead, seems many take it as an excuse to do less and offer no ideas or efforts beyond posting.
