I know I've ranted about this before I was genuinely stoked for a DC comic for the first time in twenty years and they went "oops gotta make sure we're maximum disappointing so Mary doesn't start spending money on us" - the book introduced and then killed a cool vigilante in issue one! That rules!

I also played Hatoful Boyfriend and Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star really early in my visual novel journey and if you wanna talk "moe as fuck and then you find out YOU ATE A LOVE INTEREST" that's barely scratching the surface of how messy those games get.

I may also have a very skewed take on this stuff because my first visual novel experience was DRAMAtical Murder, which is incredibly candy-bright and poppy to look at and, frankly, fucked up as all shit. I know deeply disturbing games can look moe as fuck, that's how they get ya.

Was just at a neighborhood school at dismissal. Hundreds of people with whistles surrounding the school and stationed down every block making sure ICE doesn’t snatch anyone. The same is happening at all the schools around here. I love my neighborhood and I love Chicago.
