I was working the graveyard shift at the time and was woken up by the sound of a friend leaving a message on my answering machine that just said, "Turn on the news. Any channel." His tone warned me how bad it was going to be.

Yep, I'm one of the semi-rare fans of the Tron franchise, in general, and was excited when it was first announced. That excitement turned to ash the moment I heard Leto was attached and evaporated when I found out it was a Leto movie.

For non-US folks: IDEA is the rule that dictates that disabled kids are to have equal opportunities for a public education. Taking away the people who fund and enforce it is basically leaving disabled kids and their families to fend for themselves.

Vought’s daughter has cerebral palsy, and while she may not require “special” education, she would need adjustments if she attended any school.

Obviously, he is evil and does not care about hypocrisy, but I want people to remember: they’re taking this away from US, not themselves.

There are reports that the *entire* office of special education at the US Dept of Education has been cut. These hardworking folks ensure kids with disabilities get equal access to a quality education.

No one should have blanket immunity. If they had the sense of a rock, no one should want blanket immunity. When people have no hope of getting their grievances addressed through civil channels, they will naturally lean toward less civil channels.
