official govt social media accounts are basically doing the postmodern equivalent of nazi propaganda for the whole world to see and the reaction in establishment media is to outright ignore it. it shouldn’t be a passing comment. they should be beating it over everyone’s heads just how alarming it is
okay but like it *is* insane that the literal president/whoever is running his socials posted an ai generated video of him flying a plane and carpet bombing people protesting him with shit, right? like

like what the fuck are we even doing here
I wasn't so sure on that but the dog made it work.
If you're referring to "men" as including me, you are mistaken.

Anyways, none of this defeats Trump and we're all on the same side here so I'm going to mute this thread.
It's wrong for schools to require, encourage or even allow children to change, undress and shower in front of each other in locker rooms.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

Turns out the rent lowering gunshots is just being horny on main.
Keep it up lol
It's wrong that companies give new parents multiple paid months off and not provide the same to everyone else.

To be clear, paid new baby leave is a human right and we should provide way more.

But that's not the only reason someone might want or need to take extended paid time off.

so we need to remove queer people from public life and block the legal sale of queer media to "protect the kids" and "moral values" but also every ad is going to be full of AI porn women engaging in either bestiality or diarrhea to varying degrees, and said ads will be everywhere on everything.
I got a third one so I recorded it this time.

various 70 plus years old I know have expressed opinions like "I would strangle Miller with my bare hands" and "the old people should do the bombings because we have less to lose"
every smug internet communist tweet about showing up to a No Kings protest with an abolish ICE shirt to scare the libs is getting completely mogged by the real-life winemoms showing up with slogans like "ICE will melt in hell"
As someone who gets gender affirming care: all people's gender affirming care should be covered under health insurance.

If a cis woman has meaningful distress at the size of her breasts, it should be covered. Same with a cis man's treatment for baldness

*I mean using the term buy
It should be illegal to market or sell a product to a child where they don't know what it is until after purchase. (Cards, Loot crates, Various collectable toy lines)

We don't let children gamble because they're not mentally ready for it and this is no different.

It should be illegal for retailers to use the term "buy" unless the consumer gets full control. I'm more using the term buy for:

* Movies with DRM
* Video games
* Subscriptions of any sort
* In-game currency
* Cars
* Many appliances

Rebates should always have to apply at the moment of purchase.

Barring that, rebates should never require to be mailed in. Additionally, a rebate must be money, it can never be store credit.

Sales, coupons and rebates are a psychological and time tax on everyone not rich, but especially the poorest.

I mean, we've tried to train them to use the toilet but they're just not there yet.

Yeah I mean "tech media" is even more of a PR operation than sports media. Basically on par with the car review page in your local newspaper or the gaming press, just a total fansite masquerading for some reason as journalism.
The fact that he is not getting real-time destroyed by every journalist who enters a room with him (and then later destroyed in print by every person on a tech or econ beat who reads whatever the hell he wrote most recently) is a blistering indictment of current general media competence.
Sam Altman one of a number of powerful men who have essentially risen to prominence because they’ve never been asked a single follow-up question
Until OpenAI went big, I spent much of the previous decade asking who Sam Altman was and what he actually did. He was always in the news for being Sam Altman but not for doing anything.

As best I could tell, he made a startup that failed and then became a money guy.

The only thing that scales in an AI is its costs, directly above its revenues, always outpacing them. Your most passionate users are your most expensive. The more curious they are, the more they cost you.

LLMs will go down as one of the single-worst business models of all time.
It doesn't scale? It doesn't scale.

it's literally just this. let them eat memes. this and violence and smash and grab theft
It’s going to be an interesting test case to see if an entire administration can govern for four years based entirely on vibes and (literal) shitposting. Honestly nothing else. Nothing to improve the economy, quality of life or national safety. Entirely focused on dicking around on twitter.

In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
It's not misogynistic to acknowledge who is participating.
Also, I'd like to point out we're on the same side here and the energy spent on this is energy not spent on dealing with Trump.
I had no idea that roofing was so steamy.
