And this is why blue dot cities throughout NC are incredible places to live. Lots of old towns that are now walkable, tons of parks, quality schools, and job opportunities.

We’re being held hostage by the rural areas we financially support.
Basic literacy problem
I tutor third graders, highly doubt many adults read at that level, or read at all.
Hard to learn things when curiosity (and caring about others) ceased during Reagan administration
Your evergreen rolling contracts is unbelievably good idea, wish it were broadly applied. My experience is that people sitting on tenure today, who would never ever be interviewed let alone hired, will block. Saw an attempt to use evergreen contracts but school did not comply
Works well except for the tenured profs who only teach Tues-Thurs between 10a-2p, do no advising/mentoring, haven’t published anything since getting tenure, but have all the voting power and use it to block change
