As Quakers, we believe in working towards a fair and sustainable future.

The government should make oil and gas giants pay for the climate damage they have caused, so we can fund a just climate transition.

The Budget was a major missed opportunity to do that.
Let’s build a fair and sustainable future, Quakers say as budget spares polluters and the super-rich

I'm an arrestee from yesterday and once again met the most kind, gentle and thoughtful people sitting with placards, making the absurdity of arrests so blatant.
I was sitting close to Adam, who continued pretending he was pro genocide, asking why he wasn't arrested: www.instagram.com/p/DPL2G9iCNth/

I wanted you to see this timely and important public petition. When I signed it last wk (Thu?/Fri?) there were just 2 of us in this constituency who’d done so. By this afternoon there were 109, with national total of signatories at over 62,000.

Hi-Fi stores and

"I lost a loudspeaker spike!"

"I can't find this value(size) fuse anywhere!"

"I need a bolt for this wall bracket!"

you're welcome 🙂

Why yes, I do enjoy M&S Jaffa Cakes, now you come to mention it...
One thing i appreciate as a glasses wearer is you can go in to most opticians and say "i lost a bridge pad"

INSTANTLY a tiny old guy will Tom Bombadil himself out of a door you didn't even know was there.

He will have a box. And a tiny screwdriver.

And ten minutes later your glasses are fixed.

£133 BILLION
Since 2011 the fuel duty freeze has cost the Treasury £133 billion.

This huge amount could have paid for lower train and bus fares, better stations, safer walking, wheeling and cycling and much more!

Rachel Reeves will freeze fuel duty to dodge ‘political suicide’
The chancellor will also highlight a rise in the minimum wage and plans to cut energy bills as she tries to win over voters by focusing on cost of living

Just to clear something up - a Police Officer has to witness someone conducting themselves in a manner liable to a Breach of the Peace do they not?
Vulnerable customer just got locked up for 12hrs before being released with no charges for the above, but was in their own home when the Police arrived

1 year in a houseshare with a chap who laid out his cutlery drawer contents in length order.

Properly lost his shit when he found out which tenant had been swapping two forks around to fuck with him. We hauled him off eventually, once we thought Dickhead had had enough of a scare.
The stainless steel interlopers, which are new and were absolutely unasked for, were introduced to 27-year-old Ryan Wilkins’ household last Friday, and immediately began to upend the status quo.
New cutlery fully ruins autistic man’s life

I would read this great book about arses, but I can't find it with both hands.
I'm reading a book about atlases. It covers a lot of ground.
I’m reading a book on gravity, it’s impossible to put down.

I'd love this man anyway, but here's why:
So many people that I speak to in my new job express surprise when I check to see if I'm pronouncing their name correctly.

"No-one usually does that".

When you've had your name mangled (outside Cymru, natch) your whole life you tend to want to make sure you don't do it to others.

Herself to 2 nieces (16 & 21) y'day afternoon:

"Did you still want Advent Calendars this year"

*looks of horror as the possibility of Advent Calendar = 0 is explored for the first time, PLUS being polite to Auntie J & not appearing as some kind of savage whilst AC = 1 is most definitely desirable*

this is wild. Herself and I have a guessing game for any new music: Is it a Twist, or is it a Macarena?

Our drummer niece:

"Anything four/four is a Twist *or* a Macarena...

...Oh, you already knew that and you enjoy the argument. Right."
Her first effort, Macarena in my Sobriety, flopped.

Happy #FossilFriday! This tooth plate is from a giant fossil lungfish called Ceratodus. This specimen is thought to be from the Mesozoic Era and is estimated to be up to 13 feet long! Lungfish have been around for nearly 400 million years, and are one of the closest living relatives to tetrapods!🦎
