アフリカの4言語で作業するボランティアは、MITテクノロジーレビューに対し、Wikipedia版の記事の40%から60%が修正されていない機械翻訳であるとする推定を語った。グリーンランド語に近いカナダの先住民族言語であるイヌクティトゥット語版のWikipedia版を監査した結果、MITテクノロジーレビューは、3分の2以上に、AIで作成された部分が含まれていると推定した。
編集者たちは優秀なウィキペディアンによる手書きの記事の重要性を強調した。

AI生成のゴミ記事が少数言語のwikipediaを破滅させる。
AIによって作成された文法から単語の意味まで間違った記事がwikipedia席巻し、これをAIが学習に使用してさらに間違いを悪化させるという正のフィードバックが形成されるおそれから、グリーンランド語のwikipediaは管理者によって閉鎖される。
Google翻訳はフルフルデ語で1月を意味する単語を6月と表示翻訳し、ChatGPTは8月か9月とする。農村の情報源としてのwikiを目指す編集者もデタラメに悩まされる。

研究はジェーンさんを筆頭著者とする論文として査読付きジャーナルに掲載された。
性自認に対する転向療法についての研究はかなり少なく、多分2020年くらいから数本が公開され、いずれも有害なものと結論付けられていますが、それより三十年以上前に有害さが報告されそびれていたわけですか。

元の論文は、入院療法がシスジェンダーの自認へ誘導するものではないと説明していたが、当時マクフェイデンさんはトイレまで監視される入院生活を送り、医療記録からは嫌悪療法の痕跡も伺えた。
シスジェンダーにならなければ退院できない。トランスジェンダーに戻れば病院に連れ戻される。恐怖を植え付けられたジェーンさんは、長期に渡る悪影響をうけ、二十年以上にわたりクローゼットの人生を送った。

トランスジェンダーへの転向療法を支持した1987年の論文が四十年後に反論にあう。
1987年の論文は、8人のトランスジェンダーへの入院療法について、シスジェンダーへの移行に有望な結果があった報告した。
トランス女性のジェーン・マクフェイデンさんは、この論文の匿名化された被験者が十歳の時の自分だと確信。研究者とともに当時の経験をまとめ、医療記録を入手し、結果をまとめて発表した。
その内容は元の論文のような有望な経験とは程遠いものだった。

これは、以降の司法の判断に不安を抱かせるに充分なものです。
怪しいもので良ければ、およそすべてのものに「証拠」を持ち出すこと不可能ではない。
今回の裁判でも過去の研究の歪曲が指摘されていますし、今のアメリカは国家機関がRFKjrのような変人のために証拠を作り出せる体制にあるわけですし。
先日はタイレノールと自閉症、今は経口中絶薬が標的になっています。

合衆国vスクルメッティの際にもジェンダー肯定ケア擁護派が国内主流の医師たちを含むのに対し、反対派は各地でニセ科学を売り込んで、法廷で非専門家の烙印を押されたものも多かった。しかし、最高裁は反対派を採用し、トーマス判事は「裁判所は自称専門家を相手取る必要はない」とまで言い放った。
国内の重要な専門家を、裁判所は自らの判断で無視できると宣言したに等しい。

転向療法の有害さについては主要医師会のコンセンサスがあると主張するコロラド州に対して、アリト、バレット両判事はこの「コンセンサス」が多様な意見の一つではないかと指摘した。
これは歴史修正主義などの傍流科学が利用する偽の対立で、主流のコンセンサスに対置されるとする「対案」は科学未満の妄想だったりします。
アメリカはモンキー裁判からID論争でこの手の戦略が克服されたわけですが、今回この時代に逆戻りしてしまった感があります。
しかも今回は主流科学が敗北しかねない。

コロラド州の転向療法禁止法案の違憲性を問うチャイルズvサラザール、転向療法禁止法案に違憲判決がでそうな風向きですが、火曜日の公判がかなり悲惨なものになっていたみたいです。
結論から言えば、司法が国内の科学的コンセンサスを公然と無視することが認められそうな勢いです。

Conversion therapy of LGBTQ kids is psychological torture. Generations of LGBTQ people know this firsthand.

It’s why we banned it in California & why others states also have. Therapists don’t have a right to torture kids.

One reason I'm wary of pathologizing everything about trans people: This Texas law forbids "assisting" a trans kid with their "social transition" (i.e. referring to students by anything but their given name and pronouns) on the basis this is medical in nature when it's actually just being nice

英国のトランスジェンダーの親たちの互助グループを称するBayswater Support Groupの会員たちは、、ディスコードでわが子をトランスジェンダーにしないための虐待の相談をするような連中です。
よりによって英国政府は、このような連中に政策についての相談をしたりしてます。擁護団体は排除してです。
