Yes, I AM obsessed with learning how to win elections!
(from @gelliottmorris.com)

And because this is social media, I will share my obsession w/ you. Starting tomorrow, I'll share one recent study on winning elections per (work?) day

But first, why am I obsessed with how to win elections? Because:

Obsession Day 3: Yesterday we discussed how non-ideological voters are economically-liberal and socially-conservative. Does this pattern appear in other countries?

A quick one since it’s a Sunday (the answer is yes). Featuring @benansell.bsky.social

By the way, for those of you not in MN: Homan’s strategy was to withdraw some agents, so it felt like we were in the denouement of the crisis, and then escalate hard against observers. They’re being incredibly aggressive with observers now. National media may not want to check out just yet

People have so much trouble keeping two facts in their head at the same time:
• Harris lost
• The non-battleground states swung *much* more right than the 7 battleground states

Tactics will never explain why NY swung from +23 to +12

This level of apologia (from Megan McArdle in a podcast with Josh Barro and Ross Douthat) is fucking appalling. Idk what else there is to say.

New from @ymriofficial.bsky.social : Is Rogan really turning on Trump? Ehh...

Rogan is now more critical of Trump. But his overall framing of immigration is still negative. Fundamentally he is a pushover, and this benefits rightwing guests.

Scammers just tried to hit me with this very sophisticated approach. If not for their accents, it would have sounded very legit. I hung up on them and was about to call the actual Cheyenne police department (in case my ID was stolen), when I found this page.

Be vigilant out there!

Trump is a fool, a liar and a danger.
Trump: "I did call up President Putin and he's agreed -- they have the same cold wave that we do, maybe different because it's pretty far away, but it's the equivalent. And Ukraine is a very cold country, much colder than us. I asked him if he wouldn't shoot for one week and he's agreed to do it."

Good morning--it's election day... in Texas! A telltale special: Trump won St. Sen. Dist. 9 by 17 points(!), but Dem Taylor Rehmet has a real shot at winning.

He has a great message for the reddish district & has leaned into relational organizing, so everyone here can be happy if we win tonight 😁
