The BBC removed a line about Trump being the most openly corrupt president in American history...from a lecture about the cowardice of today's elites.
I wonder if the BBC has heard of the Streisand Effect
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

The ICAO is who you need to lobby if you want to remove gender from all passports altogether, which is why American trans activists have largely focused on the ability to update/change your gender marker
In somewhat good news, today the state department website has changed the answer to this question to defer to ICAO policy. Sources still tell me that there is some appetite for invalidation/reversion of passports issued under the injunction, but this message will be welcome to many trans people.

Got carded buying 0% beer. Asked store to fix. Manager says it's intentional "... to ensure that the children are still not trying to buy non-alcoholic as that could possibly get them in trouble in the real world if it is misperceived as being the real thing." What in the paternalistic hell...

Target corporate are trying to GUARANTEE a 100% watertight boycott by autistic customers, aren't they?
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

just bc there are no trans athletes currently in the nwsl, does not mean none belong there. just bc we have African players who are extremely talented and accomplished, does not mean that they don’t deserve respect and humanity if they weren’t top of the league. also, i’m bored bored BORED of this.

“ICE officials have told us that an apparent biometric match by Mobile Fortify is a ‘definitive’ determination of a person’s status and that an ICE officer may ignore evidence of American citizenship—including a birth certificate—if the app says the person is an alien.”
New from 404 Media: you can't refuse to be scanned by ICE's new facial recognition app, according to internal DHS document I obtained. Photos captured by the app are stored for 15 years, including U.S. citizens. We've seen officers scanning faces w/ phones on streets

This is yet another reminder that the "you can just walk around with your papers and be fine!" is a lie: the cops routinely claim whatever documentation you provide is invalid

Fear caused by the Trump admin's turbocharged immigration crackdown is keeping pregnant mothers from the hospital. They are avoiding prenatal care. Others will give birth without their husbands and spouses, who have been deported.

This stress caused by ICE makes pregnancy more dangerous.
ICE fears put pregnant immigrants and their babies at risk
Fear of deportation is deterring people without permanent legal status from critical care. Doctors are worried for their health — and the health of their pregnancies.
