I keep seeing this resurfacing on my feed but what I wanna know is how this doesn’t get them straight up booted off of campus, why it hasn’t happened sooner, & who is allowing them to stay?

Because if I were those other students who aren’t complete freaks, I’d feel wildly unsafe at that location.
Take a look at this insane image the Illinois College Republicans posted and then read their statement about how they're not trying to excuse or glorify violence.

It's pretty amazing to me the amount of shit that apparently you can Just Do as an NYC mayor. It makes basically every other American politician look like an incompetent loser.

What do you mean there was just a button that reversed wage theft? Why wasn't and isn't everyone hitting it all the time??

BREAKING: Texas Democrat Taylor Rehmet just won a *massive* landslide to flip a deep-red Senate district. He's up by 14 points in a Trump+17 seat—an overperformance of more than 30 points.

How did he do it? Here's our full writeup:

Former Texas Lege reporter here. A Dem hasn't held this seat since 1990. Tarrant is the safest of red suburban counties. There is no way the TX and national GOP aren't in panic mode right now.
JUST IN: Democrats flip a red seat in the Texas Senate.

Taylor Rehmet wins against Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist who helped lead right-wing efforts to take over TX school boards.

With all early vote, and 95% of precincts, in, Dem up 57/43.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

I interviewed Menefee in Houston in 2022 about the GOP attacks on trans rights - he was the county attorney for Harris county & had refused Paxton’s “guidance” to classify gender affirming care as “child abuse”. Now, he has won a special election for the TX house, narrowing the GOP majority

A +17 Trump TX Senate district appears to be going to the Democrat.

This is the kind of thing this Texas ex-pat has dreamed of for literal decades.

We are going to win, friends. We just have to fight for it.

Find your organizing home and get to work.
‼️‼️‼️‼️ Per reporters on scene, Leigh Wambsganss has shut down her party. She hasn't conceded to Taylor Rehmet yet, but apparently told supporters that “we’ll be back in November.”
Hard to overstate how big a deal a Rehmet win would be. Tarrant County is the epicenter of Christian nationalism in Texas, an incubator for far-right policies, and nexus of billionaire Tim Dunn's network, which is riding hard for Wambsganss. Rehmet almost entirely funded by donations of $100 or less
