We’re protesting outside the Broadview ICE facility and an agent came out to tell us to go away.

We said we’re exercising our First Amendment rights so he shot the ground with pepper balls and said, “Your First Amendment rights are on the sidewalk.”

korean reporting is nightmarish on the conditions Korean workers were contained in

Their waists and hands were tied together, forcing them to bend down and lick water to drink. The unscreened bathrooms contained only a single sheet to cover their lower bodies. Sunlight barely penetrated through a fist-sized hole, and they were only allowed access to the small yard for two hours. Detained by US immigration authorities for eight days, the workers and their families expressed shock, describing human rights violations and absurdities they could not have imagined as ordinary Koreans living in 2025.

My sister, a kindergarten teacher, had to sit down and walk 18 5-year-olds through a shooter lockdown drill today & is currently navigating the emotional weight of that, but, sure, let's scold people for not mourning the loss of a guy who publicly said their deaths would be an ok trade for his guns.

In the hospital with an infection from my brain surgery. Had to have a second surgery to clean everything out and now I’m hooked up to a lot of stuff. Thankful, annoyed, sad.

Here's the other thing about virulant transphobia - it not only loses you trans votes, it loses you LGBT+ votes, and more than 80% of LGBT+ people and groups actively support the trans community. It also loses you ally votes too, and that's significant. Learn a lesson, will you?
