Hello to all the lovely ppl who have recently followed me. I’m at an odd career crossroads rn, so my posts are everywhere—but they mostly orbit around Qs on how to actually make a better world for the kids. All the kids.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

BYD just hit its 14 millionth NEV and overtook Tesla (total 7 million) in global #BEV sales for the first time — 1.6 M vs 1.2 M YTD 2025, a 400 K lead. The world’s top #EV maker isn’t in California anymore — it’s in Shenzhen, driving the new electric era. Geely rising fast also. #EnergyTransition
BYD's 14 millionth NEV rolls off line at Brazil plant, delivered to President Lula
The rollout of BYD's 14 millionth NEV comes about 11 months after its 10 millionth vehicle.

Tonight in “war ravaged” Portland… a frog brigade standing guard outside the ICE facility.

Trump says there’s “nowhere worse than Portland”… and the frogs magically multiply.

They’re showing that he’s not only a liar, but Portland is still safe, still weird and still full of people resisting.
Three people in frog costumes stand outside the Portland ice facility at night. They’re holding a sign that says frog brigade

What a haunting reminder, as the moonlight enters my window rn, of a poem I hadn’t thought about in years by de la Mare, that my grandmother recited to me when I was a child, & I committed it to memory... Silver.
Silver by
Walter de la Mare

Slowly, silently, now the moon
Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep
Of doves in a silver-feathered sleep;
A harvest mouse goes scampering by, With silver claws, and silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam, By silver reeds in a silver stream.

This poem is in the public domain.

This is such a key concept for people to wrap their minds around. No matter how much we ‘grow the economy’ it will NEVER address human needs bc these ends are not profitable enough to capital. We need functional democratic governance for that.

Such an important distinction to make that capitalism is *not* markets, businesses & trade—which have existed for thousands of yrs.

It is the highly undemocratic control of production by large firms & the 1%, not to meet human needs or make progress, but for them to maximize their own profit.

My brief address at the Spanish Parliament last week, on how capitalism is driving the polycrisis, and how we can begin to align production with democratically ratified objectives.

The antidote is economic democracy.

"30-year-old conservative lawyer and activist who is Trump’s nominee to lead the Office of Special Counsel, which deals with federal employee whistleblower complaints and discrimination" cancelled his colleague's hotel room so she would be forced to stay with him.
www.politico.com/news/2025/10...
In late July, Paul Ingrassia, the White House liaison for the Department of Homeland Security, arrived at a Ritz-Carlton in Orlando with a lower-ranking female colleague and others from their department. When the group reached the front desk, the woman learned she didn’t have a hotel room.

Ingrassia then informed her that she would be staying with him, according to five administration officials familiar with the episode. Eventually the woman discovered that Ingrassia had arranged ahead of time to have her hotel room canceled so she would have to stay with him, three of those officials said.
