No, qanon was not intentional misdirection from Trump/Epstein
The people behind Q are known (Paul Furber, later usurped by Ron Watkins) and I'm not aware of any evidence that they're associated with the Epstein ring. And Ron's congressional campaign was a wet fart. If he had any connections he'd have at least done better than absolute dead last in the primary.

Most absurd part about all opsec nonsense is that you will probably screw it up. And when you do, all of the steps that you took to make yourself invisible often make you extremely identifiable.
the thing is that it is extremely easy to fuck up undetectability, which then makes your defense indistinguishability. if you are a person who needs undetectability (anyone who thinks they do and isn't building antiarmor weapons is wrong), then a larger mass of indistinguishables is helpful.
