It's all so "she made me do it" blaming the victim, and this iteration closely echoes a previous admin. one. Rhetoric justifies bloodshed in this frame, and his rhetoric uses the passive tense/vagueness to avoid saying 'we will shed blood.'

like americans are, as a culture, very poorly inoculated to outright scams because for a pretty long time our government and media have been reasonably effective in cracking down on them, but basically since the invention of the robocall we’ve been consistently behind the curve in combatting them.

It's an inflection point, a phase change, a new ability unlocked in creative ADS-B spoofing. We've seen primitive vector art before, but as far as I know never raster spoofing. (This isn't RF spoofing, this is sending bad data over the network to an aggregator.)
