Wasn’t this guy the “progressive” choice in the NJ-Gov Democratic primary?

Good lord, we deserve better Democrats.

This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

Fam, this is a challenging moment. We (as reporters) are trying to balance urgency of news & amplification of resistance narratives with not assisting in putting people in prison. It's tough for everyone right now with how fast videos go viral. There's a lot we are not sharing.
Pro-tip: if you have video of you or others directly intervening to obstruct ICE or de-arrest someone, for god’s sake don’t post it on social media. Or at a minimum blur faces first. You’re just begging for federal charges.

The annual pumpkin display at the entrance of Governor Pritzker’s personal residence on Astor Street. He is the pumpkin king. Illinois produces the most pumpkins, including canned, than any other state in the U.S., twice as many as the next five states combined.

I had kind of an insane thought last night but I just wanted to put it out there.

I’m sure we all saw the horrific videos of the MTA yesterday. All weekend, PATH was barely operational. And SEPTA has had their funding cut to the bone.

My fear: private investors are going to try to step in. +

This is why it’s important to not completely lose your empathy and give into cheering for death. This is who we risk becoming.
Yes, it’s fucked up. It’s not better than MAGA. It’s also supremely stupid: the majority of the missing and deceased children are from Dallas and Houston: reliably blue dots in Texas.

I cannot emphasize enough how true & real this is.

In almost anywhere on the political spectrum you ID with or major issue, there’s probably a bot/troll operation to encourage your rage and vitriol.

And how/where that rage gets directed, esp understandable rage, is what they are out to influence.
People on this app get really angry every time I point out that social media manipulation is a real phenomenon that we are all stewing in and that’s having real world consequences and I’m sure part of that is engagement farmers who do that manipulation not liking people talking about it

If you want to emulate Mamdani the first thing is he's New York. You can't fake that. I know who his parents are, but he comes off just the same as the dry cleaner's son sent to a good school. He was graduated from Bowdoin but he still is who he is. You have that or you don't.

Protect this man at all costs. I heard such good things about him from my NYC friends for years, and he was genuinely so principled and decent in the election.

Also that Cyclone ad was fantastic.
