I have never been in a class in medical school that included history that didn't have something wrong in that history.

I have read too many articles using the likes of Samuel Huntington (the origin of the Brown Threat, that Islam and Latinos are a threat) to justify criteria.

The issues from these two tendencies range from having "history" slides in one's presentations that are uncited and with information easily verified as wrong, and the use of deeply fascist intellectuals as valid justifications for certain population criteria.

There are two tendencies in the medical field that stress me out:
1) confusing imparting humanistic values as teaching humanities proper, and a lack of self awareness therein
2) a deep ignorance of history

We can dunk on Silver. But the folks wildly hyping Adams in 2021-22 included Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden. The desire for a prominent BLACK politician who was pro-police and hostile to the BLM movement was broadly shared within elite Dem circles. They ignored obvious signs he was corrupt and inept.
