A famine graveyard & twisty road just outside #Drumshanbo in Co #Leitrim. It’s on the Kingfisher cycling route which I did as part of a cycle camping tour from Dublin via the canals to the Shannon. This section of the route follows the Iron mountains east of Lough Allen

Cycling #eurovelo 1 #Kenmare to #Waterville by eBike - it takes the inland route that’s off the Ring of Kerry but includes three spectacular passes on very quiet roads - so quiet there are no shops or pubs directly on the route

I'm a bit of a connoisseur of Western Special Forces operations and one common thread running through their adventures is that these highly trained "Operators" usually end up torturing and killing farmers, labourers and/or passers by as part of the job.
This story is WILD. Trump sent Seal Team 6 into North Korea to plant a listening device. The entire thing went sideways within minutes of landing when they noticed a fishing boat near the beach. They killed everyone on board, sunk the bodies to cover their tracks, and fled. Congress was never told.

Big turnout for trans & intersex pride in #Dublin today - this is as the march was forming up so there is the same number again still in the city hall square to the left.

Hearing this morning of the assassination of two Israeli embassy staff reminded me that the Nazi excuse for Kristallnacht was a similar assassination of a German embassy staffer in Paris by the then 17 year old Herschel Grynszpan en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hersche...

Any media outlet that posted the news of two young boys who drowned in Donegal - who happened to be seeking asylum with their families - on the most toxic platform in the world without closing comments, should be ashamed of itself. Makes you physically ill to look at some of the comments.

Local group and Climate and Health Alliance join call for trial of Strand Road cycle path
-- A petition echoing the call has so far gained 773 signatures on my.uplift.ie. The call to support the trial was made after politicians and others are continuing to try to block the trial after Dublin City Council won years of legal argument over the project. The move to stop the project comes after the Court of Appeal last month ruled that council officials can go ahead with a trial of the route without planning permissions or further environmental assessments.

Only about 3 or 4 years ago, a deathly silent sitka plantation was clear felled here. Now it's thick with wild native trees, NONE of which was planted. It's already heaving with insects + birds, and will keep getting better if left alone.
THIS is how we should be bringing our forests back.
