I recommended a bit of forethought.
As noted in my senate submission.
International and domestic courts are increasingly clear: governments have a legal duty to consider the greenhouse gas emissions released by the projects they approve.

Turns internet back on, having just seen 'Wicked'...
Pauline Hanson has been suspended from the Senate for seven days. This comes after Hanson wore a burqa in the Senate yesterday, repeating a widely condemned stunt.

Well, I just made a senate submission with the theme that climate change underpins everything (including 'sovereign risk', now the ICJ's thrown its hat in the ring.)
“Climate change isn’t everything“ is becoming a go-to justification for delaying action.

This is - deliberately or inadvertently - a misframing of the issue. The point isn’t CC is everything, it’s that it’s essential to deal with.

Tbf it was done to strengthen Ley’s internal leadership position, not to win votes
“The latest Newspoll has spelled bad news for the Coalition - with the party’s announcement on net zero failing to lift their primary vote beyond record lows.”

Nothing clean about this, even on a map.

Red and dashed bits are where ISW thinks Russia is.

"I AM NOT A UUID!"
Are we really at a stage in public education where we consider it OK to have literally Google-branded schoolchildren whose learner identities are tied to being "responsible AI" users of private for-profit technologies?

When a salesman starts pressuring me to 'just sign the deal', my response is invariably 'Nope!'.

(also, is it just me, or does Watt bear an uncanny resemblance to a certain ex-MP of many portfolios?)

"I have friends everywhere."

(in reference to whoever implemented this 'feature' rather than the accounts it exposed... but that, too.)
Twitter implemented a new feature last night that displayed the country an account is in. So many of the ‘America First’ accounts were from foreign countries that they had to disable the feature within hours. 🙄

What is the concept of 'many' to someone who probably can't count?
Ohhh… he really will never stop peddling dangerous rhetoric.

DOGE was created for data theft and infrastructure dismantling and it wildly succeeded on both counts within the first few weeks of its existence. It will take a generation to rebuild what it destroyed and the breach of data is unprecedented.
Bye bye, “DOGE”.

It no longer exists as a “centralized entity”, according to the Office of Personnel Management.
